Letter #1 from Sister Janna Judkins!
I made it to the MTC!
I have been working really hard my schedule is insane and crazy and so I have been really busy but the spirit is incredibly strong here and I know that this is where I’m supposed to be, even though it is really hard WORK!! :) I love it!
My 1st companion's name is Sister Petersen, she's great, together we have learned to work really hard and teach. We had the opportunity to teach last night "practice" but with teachers that act like real investigators!! It’s really amazing how real it feels at times when I don't know what to say to what to teach the spirit takes control and I pray. We've been teaching the 1st vision (lesson 1) and just started lesson 2 out of preach my gospel. WOW!! AMAZING!!
I testify that our Heavenly Father loves us and so He knows us better than we know ourselves. I know that Missionary work is so important right now and that those who are willing to go through the trials and fight for GOD'S WORK TO GO THROUGH OUT THE WORLD! I know this is true. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ who is our savior and who suffered for my sins and your sins. He didn't have to suffer, but he did. And my heart burns and the spirit comforts whenever I pray to know the truth. I am grateful for my family I pray each day for you all. And I know that when we pray in Faith that Mountains can be moved. I know that Joseph smith restored the gospel to the earth and therefore the True gospel of Jesus Christ is restored on the Earth again, just as it has been multiple times through out the bible. God calls prophets and ordains them with the Priesthood authority of God to fulfill and teach the people of His will. In a lesson last night it was so AWESOME!!! We were teaching (sister Keddington and I...Sister Judkins) and I used an analogy that just popped in my head... CHESS!!!
What happens when your playing chess and someone comes by and wipes the chess board clean knocking the pieces to the ground?... you can't play anymore...Until...someone picks up the pieces for you...That is where the Lord comes into play and picks them up and puts them back in the game.
The Lord has called prophets ever sense bible time...and then after a small apostasy he sent his own son Jesus Christ Who atoned for our sins and paid the price, but he also was killed therefore again taking the priesthood off the earth. So what would make sense! God would call another prophet and so he did. Joseph smith a young boy asked GOD IN FAITH. He received a vision and over the nest few years the gospel was on it's way back to the earth. God had picked up the pieces yet again and put them in play. It just makes sense, it's true!!! I lLOVE LVOE LOVE ITTTT!!!!
